Salary: USD 166,000 - 220,000 / annual

Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a V&V Systems Engineer to support production of a Group 5 autonomous aircraft. This role is part of the systems engineering team and focuses on hardware verification and execution across the full product lifecycle—from design verification testing (DVT) through environmental qualification, production acceptance, and ground & flight test. You will be accountable for demonstrating that all hardware meets system-level requirements and technical performance metrics (TPMs) before fielding. You'll ensure that verification activities are planned, executed, and documented in accordance with the program Systems Engineering Management Plan (SEMP). Key responsibilities include: - Developing and executing verification plans, cross-reference matrices (VCRMs), and test plans - Supporting environmental qualification testing of electronic and electromechanical hardware (LRUs, avionics, actuators) - Decomposing system-level requirements to component-level verification evidence - Reading and interpreting qualification test reports, certificates of conformance, and supplier technical data packages - Applying Qualification by Similarity (QBS) methodology for COTS/MOTS hardware - Coordinating with test labs and managing verification evidence packages Required qualifications include a B.S. in aerospace, mechanical, electrical, or similar engineering field, plus 3+ years of experience in systems engineering, hardware qualification, or test & evaluation in aerospace, defense, or similarly regulated industries. You must have direct experience with environmental qualification testing and working knowledge of MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464, and MIL-STD-704. Proficiency with requirements management tools (Jama, DOORS, Polarion) and Microsoft Office is essential. U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance are required. Preferred qualifications include 5+ years in hardware qualification, experience with DO-160 standards, hands-on test lab experience, familiarity with AS9100 quality management systems, and prior work on UAS or tactical aircraft platforms.
