Wave is a fintech company building financial services across Sub-Saharan Africa, with millions of users across 9 countries. The company's mission is to make Africa the first cashless continent by providing accessible, fee-free mobile money services. You will lead agent liquidity and cash operations in Sierra Leone, managing a growing team responsible for ensuring adequate liquidity across Wave's agent network. This is a hands-on leadership role combining strategic oversight with operational execution. Key responsibilities: - Build and lead a skilled team to support Wave's rapid growth in Sierra Leone - Develop sustainable processes and materials for the liquidity department - Monitor nationwide liquidity status and identify priority areas - Design innovative solutions to meet Wave's liquidity needs - Plan and coordinate cash logistics across the agent network, including rebalancing through banks, Cash-in-Transit companies, and premium agents - Manage the agent network to minimize liquidity disruptions - Ensure strict adherence to security standards and SLA requirements with CIT partners - Travel frequently within Sierra Leone (approximately 50% of the time) You'll work with a rapidly scaling operation where you'll need to balance growth with operational excellence, manage relationships with external partners (banks, CIT firms, agents), and build processes from the ground up in a dynamic environment. Requirements: - 5+ years in cash movements, Cash-in-Transit, or treasury operations - 2+ years of team management experience - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management, or comparable field - Fluency in English and Krio - Strong Excel/Google Sheets proficiency - Proven customer relationship management and agent network management experience - Willingness to travel 50% within Sierra Leone - Work authorization in Sierra Leone required Ideal candidates understand local liquidity challenges in scaling agent networks, have strong analytical skills, excel at process documentation, communicate effectively, and demonstrate integrity and tenacity.
