LightTable is an AI-powered construction document review platform that automates cross-document conflict detection for preconstruction teams on large commercial and data center projects. The company recently closed Series A funding and is in active enterprise deployments with major general contractors and data center builders.
In this role, you will lead the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) side of pre-sales and customer delivery. You'll partner with Account Executives to run deep-dive technical demos and readiness discussions with prospective customers' project teams, establishing yourself as the domain expert who builds credibility and trust.
Key responsibilities include:
**Pre-Sales & Backtests**: Own proof-of-concept backtests end-to-end by running LightTable's analysis on projects the customer has already completed, validating findings against what their team actually encountered, and presenting results in terms practitioners and economic buyers understand (issues found, severity, sheet references, cost of miss).
**Pilot Delivery**: Lead pilot implementation across 3–5 live projects, serving as the main connection to end users. You'll deliver practice-specific training and integrate LightTable into their actual workflows rather than as a bolted-on secondary process.
**Implementation & Enterprise Start**: Turn pilot tuning into firm standards—default rulesets, templates, and enablement materials that scale. Configure workflows and support adoption as the Engagement Manager rolls the program across offices.
**Product Partnership**: Serve as the primary conduit between GTM and Product. Log product gaps with the drawings that caused them and carry practitioner feedback back to engineering. Own findings quality on your accounts.
**Reporting Structure**: Report to VP of AEC, sitting on the LightTable Go-to-Market team alongside Account Executives, Engagement Managers, and Customer Support, with close ties to product and engineering.
Success will be measured by credibility with practitioners, backtests that surface material misses customers agree are real, high acceptance of findings with low false-positive noise, pilot conversion support with named projects and teams, full product adoption during pilots, successful enterprise conversions, actionable product feedback, and on-time project delivery.
**Requirements:**
- Bachelor's or master's degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or related field
- 8+ years of experience in architecture, engineering, or with a general contractor on large commercial, mission-critical, or data center projects
- Hands-on experience running construction document reviews and coordinating across disciplines
- Understanding of broader development processes from multiple stakeholder perspectives
- Ability to train practitioners, run a room, and change how a team works
- Ability to translate technical findings into clear business value for both project teams and executives
- Comfort with emerging technologies, particularly AI, and ability to bridge traditional AEC workflows with new tools
**Nice to Have:**
- Professional licensure (RA, PE) or equivalent industry credentials
- Data center or hyperscaler project experience, including MEP-heavy and OFCI-driven coordination
- Prior experience in pre-sales, solutions engineering, implementation, or training at a construction technology company
- Fluency with Bluebeam, Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud
- Curiosity and empathy for stakeholder incentives across the development process
