Salary: USD 175,000 - 190,000 / annual

Ascendis Pharma, a dynamic global biopharmaceutical company advancing programs in endocrinology rare disease and oncology, seeks an Associate Director of Human Resources Business Partner for its Princeton, NJ site. In this strategic role, you will serve as the primary HR business partner to multiple U.S. Commercial functions and their leadership teams, operating with high independence as a trusted advisor to senior leaders. You will translate business objectives into people strategies that drive organizational effectiveness, workforce capability, talent development, succession planning, and business performance. Key responsibilities include: • Strategic Business Partnership: Act as the primary HRBP for Commercial functions and the Princeton site, advising leaders on organizational effectiveness, workforce strategy, leadership effectiveness, and talent decisions. • Talent & Succession Planning: Lead talent reviews, succession planning, and development planning processes across supported functions. Partner with leaders to develop strategies for critical talent, high-potential employees, and organizational capability building. • Leadership Coaching & Employee Relations: Coach senior leaders and managers on leadership effectiveness, performance management, talent development, employee relations, and change leadership. Lead employee relations matters and workplace investigations. • Compensation & Talent Decisions: Partner on compensation planning, promotions, talent movement, and organizational changes. Collaborate with Global HR and compensation stakeholders on job architecture, market positioning, and workforce planning. • Site Partnership: Lead site-level people initiatives that strengthen employee experience and organizational health. You will report to the Vice President, US Head of HR and collaborate closely with U.S. HR leadership, Global Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, and other key stakeholders. Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred); 8+ years of progressive HR experience with significant HRBP responsibility; demonstrated experience partnering with senior leaders; success advising on organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, talent management, succession planning, and organizational change; strong business acumen; ability to influence in matrixed, global environments; excellent communication and relationship-building skills; willingness to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally. Preferred: Experience supporting commercial organizations in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or other highly regulated industries.
