The Actuarial Analyst will play a high-visibility, high-impact role in expanding the scope and speed of actuarial pricing capabilities. You will make data-driven recommendations to guide pricing of the insurance product suite and drive profitable growth.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building and maintaining rate indication tools for insurance pricing and actuarial reporting
- Assisting in the creation of state filing materials
- Creating and refining frameworks and dashboards to monitor, analyze, and report on historical performance
- Conducting analyses, generating insights, and translating them into strategic or tactical recommendations
- Collaborating with insurance product management and filings teams to take pricing action and drive profitable growth
- Contributing to the actuarial community and promoting best practices
- Pursuing Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) accreditation with a goal of obtaining ACAS and FCAS credentials
Required qualifications:
- BA/BS in actuarial science, statistics, or a quantitative discipline
- 1+ years of experience in actuarial roles/internship, or completion of a minimum of two CAS examinations (excluding UEC credit)
- Technical proficiency in MS Office (primarily Excel) and SQL
- Experience with AI tools and processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to navigate ambiguous or strategic business challenges
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently
Desirable qualifications include familiarity with R or Python and background in small business or general liability insurance.
