Public is building an Agentic Brokerage platform for serious investors who leverage AI and multiple asset classes—stocks, bonds, crypto, and options—to build sophisticated portfolios. Since 2019, Public has managed billions in assets from retail investors.
In this role, you'll own the full lifecycle of high-volume options traders: acquisition, advocacy, and retention. You'll build and maintain a pipeline of high-potential prospects through both internal channels and outbound prospecting, identifying and partnering with external stakeholders to drive options volume growth. Your north star is options volume; you'll locate where sophisticated trading flow concentrates, meet traders in their communities, and bring that activity to Public within regulatory boundaries.
You'll serve as the connective tissue between Public's product and the trader community. You'll evangelize AI Agents, API access, and options tooling to sophisticated traders who will stress-test these capabilities, then feed insights back to product and engineering teams. You need to understand Public's API and agentic capabilities deeply enough to demo them credibly to traders building custom systems.
This is an autonomous role with clear targets and flexibility to chart your own path. You'll work independently and own your approach across all functions.
Required: 5+ years in premier consumer finance or capital markets; Series 7, Series 4, and/or 63/66 (or immediate path to completion); deep hands-on expertise in options trading (single-leg, multi-leg strategies, spreads, volatility, trader mechanics); proven sales or direct customer acquisition track record; experience navigating regulatory compliance; ability to build client acquisition processes from scratch; creative problem-solving; public speaking ability in trader communities; intellectual curiosity; and active Public membership with options trading experience.
Bonus: deep knowledge of active trader tools and asset classes; existing credibility in options communities (Discord, FinTwit, Reddit, meetups); experience with API-based and high-frequency traders; equity capital markets, trading, or research background; financial data expertise; AI tool fluency; SQL or Python programming skills.
