Kestra Medical, a medical device company founded in 2014 specializing in wearable cardiac technologies, seeks an Accounts Receivable Manager to lead its Insurance Collections team within the Revenue Cycle department. This is a people-management role responsible for operational leadership, performance oversight, and strategic direction of insurance collections staff. Key responsibilities include direct management of Insurance Collections team members—workload distribution, performance monitoring, coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations. You will identify staffing and training needs, participate in hiring and onboarding, and develop training materials. The role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an action-oriented, outcome-driven approach. You will oversee third-party payer account performance to ensure timely follow-up and resolution of outstanding insurance claims. Monitor AR aging, denial inventory, underpayments, and payer response timelines against contractual and internal benchmarks. Analyze payer-specific trends and denial patterns, translating findings into actionable improvements. Use data-driven insights to reduce AR aging across commercial, government, and managed care payers. Responsibilities include ensuring consistent and accurate documentation of payer interactions within AR systems, overseeing denial management strategies, and serving as an escalation point for complex or high-dollar payer issues. You will partner with front-end, prior authorization, insurance verification, billing, clinical documentation, and patient access teams to prevent recurring denials and errors. Maintain knowledge of payer policies, contract terms, and regulatory changes impacting reimbursement. Drive operational efficiency and measurable financial improvement. Develop and implement revenue cycle strategies that deliver improved financial and operational outcomes. Create standardized materials and best practices, and develop strategies to optimize insurance collection workflows. You are accountable for delivering measurable improvements in collection rates, denial rates, first-pass yield, and revenue per claim. Develop scalable strategies, processes, and technologies to continuously optimize revenue cycle performance in a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare environment.
