Salary: USD 30,000 - 175,000 / annual
SpaceX is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join its finance organization in Hawthorne, CA. This role is a key transactional position within the Accounts Payable department, handling high-volume invoice and expense report processing.
Key responsibilities include:
- Processing and matching invoices to purchase orders, resolving discrepancies
- Reviewing invoices for proper documentation and approval before payment
- Meeting transaction targets in a high-volume environment
- Reconciling vendor statements and researching/correcting discrepancies
- Responding to vendor and internal department inquiries in a timely manner
- Processing expense reports and maintaining Excel reports and database imports/exports
- Coordinating weekly payments
- Maintaining accurate files and documentation per company policy and GAAP standards
Required qualifications:
- 3+ years of accounts payable, finance, or operations experience
Preferred qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Strong motivation for automation and process improvement
- Knowledge of GAAP
- Proficiency with Excel and ERP systems (MS Dynamics 365 or similar)
- SQL experience
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
- Strong organizational and time management skills
The position requires full-time, onsite presence in Hawthorne with no hybrid or remote options. Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed is required. ITAR compliance is mandatory; applicants must be U.S. citizens, nationals, lawful permanent residents, refugees, or asylees, or eligible to obtain required State Department authorizations.
