The Accounts Payable Specialist will join the Group Accounting team within Group Finance, overseeing the full cycle of accounts payable functions. The role focuses on ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments to stakeholders in compliance with company policies and jurisdictional regulations.
Key responsibilities include: reviewing and processing employee claims and vendor payments using digital expense management systems and automated platforms; performing reporting activities with financial software and dashboards; conducting reconciliations (bank, general ledger, etc.); ensuring accrual accuracy; handling budget recording and analysis; identifying process improvement opportunities and leveraging AP automation technologies (OCR invoice processing, workflow software); supporting finance team members with information requests; communicating with internal and external stakeholders; assisting with withholding tax form preparation and submission; and reviewing expense reporting for closing cycles.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or Finance with 8+ years of relevant experience, including a minimum of 3 years in accounts payable functions. Strong technical proficiency with AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT) for workflow optimization is required. The candidate must demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, meticulous attention to detail, strong time management, and the ability to thrive independently and as a team player in a fast-paced startup environment. Proficiency in English and Mandarin is advantageous.
