Super.com is seeking an Accounting Manager to join their finance team and take ownership of a meaningful portion of the month-end close process. This newly created role is designed to deepen the accounting bench and add capacity where the team needs it most, enabling faster closes and sharper reviews.
You'll work directly with the Senior Accounting Manager to prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and close deliverables with a high degree of independence. The role emphasizes review work and quality control, ensuring that all outputs meet rigorous standards before going out the door. You'll operate with significant autonomy, ramping quickly on the company's systems and processes.
Key responsibilities include: prepping and reviewing month-end close deliverables with emphasis on catching errors and maintaining documentation quality; partnering with the Senior Accounting Manager to tighten close timelines and raise the bar on audit readiness; building and maintaining reporting and analysis using Looker and Snowflake to create decision-ready financial materials for leadership; supporting external audit and internal control processes with well-supported workpapers; leveraging AI-powered tools like Claude to accelerate reconciliations, memo drafting, and recurring reporting; identifying and driving process improvements across the close cycle to replace manual work with scalable approaches; and managing a direct report with hands-on coaching and oversight.
The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of progressive accounting experience from industry, public accounting, or a combination, with a foundation in accounting, audit, or financial reporting. CPA designation is a plus but not required. You should have demonstrated expertise in review work, expert-level Excel skills, hands-on experience with Looker and Snowflake, familiarity with AI tools like Claude, and a genuine process-improvement mindset. The role requires the ability to work independently in a fast-moving, still-forming environment.
