Veeam Software, the global market leader in data resilience and data security posture management, is seeking an Accountant II for Revenue Accounting to support their finance operations. Based remotely in the US, this role is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the systems, reporting, and operational processes that enable accurate, compliant, and scalable revenue accounting across the organization.
You will support revenue accounting system enhancements by gathering business requirements, performing user acceptance testing (UAT), documenting results, and escalating issues. You'll create, maintain, and enhance revenue-related reports used for monthly close, reconciliations, analysis, and management review. The role involves partnering with cross-functional teams including Product, Sales Operations, Billing, Legal, IT, and Finance to identify potential revenue accounting impacts and gather information.
Key responsibilities include assisting with month-end and quarter-end close activities through data validation, reporting, journal entry preparation, reconciliations, and variance analysis. You'll document process updates related to new product offerings and business models, identify opportunities for process improvements and automation, and maintain process documentation and system workflows to support consistency, compliance, training, and audit readiness. You'll work closely with senior team members to build expertise in revenue accounting operations while escalating complex accounting, systems, or control matters appropriately.
The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Systems, or related field, with 1-4 years of experience in accounting, revenue accounting, finance operations, or systems/reporting support, ideally in software, SaaS, technology, or subscription-based businesses. You should have strong interest in accounting systems, reporting, process improvement, and automation, with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills. Experience with NetSuite and Salesforce is preferred. Bonus qualifications include CPA certification, experience with system implementations, knowledge of revenue accounting concepts, SOX compliance familiarity, and exposure to process automation initiatives.
