This Accountant II role is part of Samsara's US accounting team and offers a ground-floor opportunity to help shape accounting operations at a fast-growing, publicly-traded technology company. You will work on highly visible accounting areas with direct support from the Accounting Manager, focusing on complex accounting challenges while exploring how AI can improve day-to-day responsibilities.
Key responsibilities include performing GL month-end close activities, preparing journal entries and account reconciliations, developing cross-functional relationships with teams in procure-to-pay, treasury, payroll, sales compensation, order-to-cash, and supply chain. You will own assigned accounts including inventory, deferred commissions, marketable securities, investments, complex bank arrangements, and AP/AR-related accounts. The role emphasizes identifying process improvement opportunities and embedding Samsara's cultural principles (customer focus, long-term thinking, growth mindset, inclusivity, teamwork) as the company scales globally.
The position is fully remote, open to candidates residing in Mexico, with no relocation assistance provided.
