The company operates a Direct Global Network connecting to 7 billion mobile wallets and bank accounts via 350+ payment methods, serving major clients like Uber, Deliveroo, Grab, and WeChat.
The Accountant role is based in Manila and focuses on core accounting operations and financial controls. Key responsibilities include processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices; maintaining accurate accounting ledgers; reconciling vendor accounts and monthly statements; charging expenses to appropriate cost centers; managing vendor payments while monitoring discount opportunities; processing employee expense reports and advance requests; and ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
The role requires strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively under tight deadlines. You will interact with multiple departments to resolve payment discrepancies, verify documentation, and maintain financial records in compliance with international and local accounting standards.
Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; solid understanding of international and local accounting standards and tax regulations; proficiency in MS Excel including financial formulas and pivot tables; and excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Experience with Oracle Cloud Financials or Oracle EBS is advantageous. The ideal candidate demonstrates a detail-oriented, solution-focused attitude and can manage multiple priorities effectively.
