AnswersNow is a virtual ABA therapy platform transforming autism therapy delivery through innovative, clinician-designed digital solutions. As Accountant, you'll be the financial backbone of the organization, working closely with the Controller to ensure accurate, timely financial reporting and operational integrity.
Your core responsibilities include managing month-end and year-end close processes, preparing journal entries and accruals, and reconciling general ledger accounts to maintain financial reporting accuracy. You'll support regulatory compliance by managing surveys, franchise taxes, and annual reports while meeting all applicable deadlines. The role involves serving as the primary contact for employee and vendor financial inquiries, resolving issues efficiently across internal teams.
Day-to-day, you'll review, code, and process vendor invoices, employee reimbursements, and corporate card transactions according to company policy and GAAP standards. You'll maintain vendor records, manage the accounts payable workflow, and track key reporting and compliance deadlines on the company finance calendar. Additionally, you'll support ad hoc financial analysis and special projects that inform business decisions and drive operational improvements.
The ideal candidate brings 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a high-growth or startup environment. You'll have a solid grasp of GAAP and general accounting principles, hands-on experience with payroll processing and accounts payable workflows, and proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or NetSuite. Strong attention to detail, ability to meet recurring deadlines, and a CPA candidate status or bachelor's degree in Accounting are preferred.
