Salary: USD 87,000 - 102,000 / annual

Airbnb's Global Compensation Accounting team is seeking a Total Compensation Accountant to support the company's rapid global growth. This role owns global compensation accounting for payroll, equity, and benefits across all regions, partnering closely with Benefits, Payroll Operations, Equity Administration, Talent, Compensation, Financial Reporting, and Technical Accounting teams. You will perform month and quarter-end close activities, including journal entries, balance sheet and income statement analysis, account reconciliations, and reporting schedules. Key responsibilities include reconciling and analyzing payroll-related balance sheet and P&L accounts, ensuring accurate transaction processing and reporting in the company's financial system, supporting global Payroll Operations and Equity Administration teams with accounting expertise, and ensuring SOX compliance with proper controls and GAAP reporting. Additional duties involve collaborating across Finance, Legal, and Talent to ensure accurate financial statements, supporting special projects and ad-hoc reporting, managing transitions and knowledge transfer, and leveraging AI and technology to streamline accounting processes. You will work in a fast-paced environment supporting an accelerated close schedule, requiring strong collaboration, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work well under pressure. Working hours are 8 am to 5 pm PST (11 am to 8 pm EST). The position is US Remote Eligible with occasional office work or offsites as agreed with your manager. You must live in a state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity. REQUIREMENTS: - BA/BS in Accounting or Finance - Minimum 3 years of accounting experience - CPA preferred - Public accounting experience preferred - Strong verbal, written, analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills - Self-starter with ability to form conclusions and present findings - Team player able to work independently and take on challenges - Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments - Experience using AI tools to automate processes and drive efficiency gains - Experience with ERP systems, Workday, and/or Oracle - Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
