Houzz is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead Israel's financial operations while collaborating closely with the US headquarters team. This hybrid role is based in Tel Aviv and requires regular in-office attendance.
You will own Israel's site financial reporting and accounting processes, supporting consolidated accounting and reporting functions across the organization. The role demands a detail-oriented, hands-on manager who can build, improve, and lead processes and controls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close process for local, US, and consolidated global operations
- Review monthly financial statements and trend analysis to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with local regulations, US GAAP, and internal policies
- Ensure account balances are fully reconciled and prepare financial results in a timely manner
- Coordinate with external auditors on quarterly reviews and annual audits
- Support international annual compliance and manage financial audits for entities in Taiwan and Israel
- Oversee local payroll processing and tax filings in coordination with HR and external providers
- Compile and maintain detailed accounting documentation for legal, regulatory, and audit requirements
- Prepare US GAAP management reporting packages for consolidated statements
- Prepare monthly US GAAP uploads to NetSuite or coordinate with outsourced bookkeeping firms
- Initiate and develop key financial policies and procedures, ensuring local compliance with global policies
- Support all aspects of accounting management including billing, operations, reporting, and tax

Requirements:
- CPA with Big 4 experience (MUST HAVE)
- 5+ years of accounting experience, with 2+ years as an in-house controller or manager
- Experience as an accounting manager in an international company reporting to US headquarters
- Excellent knowledge of US GAAP
- Graduate of a leading university
- Familiarity with NetSuite and Ramp
- Strong English skills, both oral and written
