SmithRx is a venture-backed healthtech company disrupting the Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) sector with a next-generation drug acquisition platform. The company has onboarded hundreds of thousands of members since 2016 and is rapidly growing with a mission-driven culture focused on transforming the U.S. healthcare system.
The Account Specialist role sits within the Customer Success Team, which focuses on helping clients derive full value from SmithRx's PBM services. You will serve as a trusted operational partner to Account Managers, supporting key client relationships and ensuring post-sale success.
Key responsibilities include:
- Act as a designated support resource for assigned Account Managers and serve as part of account teams for key clients
- Work directly with clients on outstanding operational and member items
- Compile and present client and member items during internal and external meetings
- Complete reporting and data requirements based on client and team needs
- Troubleshoot escalated issues related to claims, eligibility, and account maintenance
- Complete data audit requests and support ad-hoc projects
- Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams to resolve client issues
- Creatively develop solutions to client and operational needs
You will bring 2-3 years of operational or customer service/support experience in PBM or healthcare industries. Strong technical skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) are essential. You must be able to manage multiple competing priorities, communicate complex data and member scenarios effectively, and demonstrate strong attention to detail. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a positive growth mindset, able to work well with cross-functional teams and clients, and comfortable handling ambiguous instructions.
