Halter is transforming agriculture through innovative grazing technology that enables farmers to manage cattle without traditional fencing, quad bikes, or dogs. As Account Manager for the Southland region, you will be the primary point of contact for Halter's existing customers, driving retention, renewals, and expansion of revenue while ensuring farmers extract maximum value from the platform. You will own retention and expansion targets for the region and work closely with some of New Zealand's highest-performing dairy farms.
Key responsibilities include:
- Revenue retention, renewals, and expansion of existing customer accounts
- Supporting onboarding, training, and implementation of Halter systems on customer farms
- Building and maintaining genuine, trustworthy relationships with farmers, their teams, and families
- Partnering strategically with customers to establish clear business goals, timelines, and success metrics
- Providing prompt, effective communication and technical support to address challenges
- Representing the Halter brand, leading local discussion groups, and building community networks
- Acting as the voice of the customer, bridging insights from the field back to product teams
- Providing technical and practical advice on reproduction, pasture management, and agronomy from a farmer's perspective
- Contributing to a positive team environment and modeling Halter's operating principles
You will be based in the Southland region with frequent travel required. You'll be supported by an exceptional South Island team and Halter's Auckland headquarters.

REQUIREMENTS:
- 3–5 years of experience in relationship management, account management, sales, or customer-facing roles
- Experience in dairy farming or the agriculture sector with a genuine passion for helping farmers succeed (preferred but not required if you demonstrate strong learning agility)
- Strong business acumen
- Positive attitude and collaborative team player who excels at overcoming challenges
