As an Account Manager based in Shanghai, you will manage and nurture key strategic accounts across assigned commodity sectors in China. Your primary focus will be driving customer satisfaction, net retention, and revenue growth through account expansion. Key responsibilities include: • Building, retaining, and expanding strategic relationships with assigned commodity accounts in China • Spearheading upselling and cross-selling campaigns within existing clients by identifying new departmental needs and introducing complementary Kpler data solutions • Initiating and leading strategic discussions with directors, senior managers, and executive stakeholders to uncover business challenges and demonstrate measurable ROI • Partnering with sales support, customer success, and product teams to convert usage insights into expansion opportunities • Developing tailored account growth strategies that align Kpler's product suite with client trading, research, and supply chain objectives • Monitoring commodity market dynamics across China and maintaining accurate sales forecasting and account health metrics in CRM systems Requirements: Must-haves: • Demonstrated track record in B2B account management, client retention, or strategic account growth within B2B SaaS, data intelligence, energy, or commodities sectors • Proven ability to engage, negotiate with, and influence senior decision-makers and business leaders in the commodities or financial sectors • Native or fluent Mandarin language skills with strong business English proficiency to engage local clients and collaborate across global teams • Solid understanding of account expansion techniques, including whitespace identification, multi-threading, and upselling data/analytics solutions Nice-to-haves: • Prior experience with market data, analytics platforms, or SaaS tools tailored to energy, shipping, or physical commodities trading • Established network across state-owned enterprises (SOEs) or private trading firms in China
