As a Visa and Mastercard Principal Member, Rain issues cards accepted at 175+ million merchant locations across 220+ countries. Uptop is one of Rain's fastest-growing business units, providing rewards infrastructure for sports and entertainment partners to launch loyalty programs. This Account Manager role owns the end-to-end partner experience from deal close through program launch and scaling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own post-sale relationships for a portfolio of approximately five enterprise loyalty and rewards partners, expanding to ten as the business scales
- Translate signed deals into concrete programs: design earn structures, redemption catalogs, offer strategy, funding models, and success metrics
- Manage program launches as a project manager would—build timelines, drive execution, identify and resolve blockers, and ensure stakeholder accountability
- Serve as the single point of contact for partner teams, coordinating internally across Product, Engineering, Business Development, Compliance, and Marketing
- Lead recurring business reviews, report on program performance, surface insights on spend lift and engagement, and recommend roadmap improvements
- Identify expansion opportunities within accounts and hand them to BD with full context
- Maintain accurate account documentation, launch trackers, and internal reporting
- Bring partner feedback into Rain and advocate for roadmap changes that ease future launches
The role reports to the GMs of Rain's rewards business and works closely with Product, Engineering, BD, and Compliance teams. This is not a support role—you will run complex, multi-month processes across many moving parts and become the trusted operator partners rely on to execute.
Requirements:
- 3–7 years in Account Management, Customer Success, Implementation, Partner Management, or Program Management, ideally in sports, fintech, payments, or loyalty
- Proven track record managing complex, multi-stakeholder programs to deadline with real ownership of outcomes
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to catch critical issues others miss
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and genuine enjoyment building partner relationships
- Comfort operating with ambiguity and without established playbooks; preference for building processes rather than waiting for them
- Strong commercial instincts and understanding that healthy accounts deliver measurable partner value
- Fluency with CRM, project tracking, spreadsheets, and comfort analyzing data independently
- No sales quota required (BD is a dedicated function), but opportunity to contribute to business development or product if desired
Nice to Have:
- Direct experience with loyalty, rewards, card-linked offers, or experiential/fan engagement programs
- Understanding of card payments economics (interchange, merchant funding, program P&L)
- Experience working with fintechs, neobanks, issuers, or card program managers
- Experience coordinating with brand, entertainment, or merchant partners
- Familiarity with stablecoins, crypto, or digital assets
