Salary: USD 110,000 - 130,000 / annual
LevelTen Energy operates the world's largest clean energy marketplace, facilitating over $14.8 billion in renewable energy transactions. The company connects buyers, sellers, advisors, and financiers through transaction infrastructure, automation software, data management, and standardized contracts.
As Account Executive for Utilities, you will drive growth of LevelTen's utility data subscription business by identifying and building relationships with investor-owned utilities (IOUs), municipal utilities, and rural electric cooperatives. Your primary focus is recruiting new utility subscribers to LevelTen's data solutions platform, particularly targeting utilities in states with strong renewable portfolio standard (RPS) requirements and clean energy appetite.
Key responsibilities include:
- Identifying and developing relationships with key utilities across origination, resource planning, and corporate strategy functions
- Leading full sales cycles from prospect identification through close of platform data subscriptions, with an annual ARR target within the utility segment
- Identifying land-and-expand opportunities to transition data subscribers into LevelTen's broader transactional marketplace
- Attending industry events and networking with regulatory affairs, integrated resource planning, and procurement professionals to cement LevelTen's market-leading position
- Maintaining expertise in the evolving regulatory and political landscape driving utility demand for clean energy market data
- Building and maintaining a clean, accurate pipeline with consistent CRM updates and accurate forecasts
- Representing utilities' interests with internal marketing, product, and executive teams to influence go-to-market strategy
- Traveling up to 30% of the time
The role is preferably based in Seattle (3 days per week in office, hybrid model), though remote candidates with strong experience are welcome.
**Requirements:**
Required:
- 4+ years as a closer in enterprise sales with a consistent record of quota attainment
- Experience selling energy-related products, data, or web-based SaaS to utilities, traders, and/or other key wholesale power market participants
- Working fluency in how utilities plan, procure, and transact for power; credible conversation ability with resource planners or originators
- Discipline in CRM use, pipeline hygiene, and accurate forecasting
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills, both in-person and virtually
- Ability to thrive in a constantly changing and evolving work environment
Strongly Preferred:
- Direct experience in origination, integrated resource planning (IRP), resource planning, corporate energy procurement, and/or power trading
- Experience selling analytics or market data subscriptions (as opposed to transactional or project-based products)
- Familiarity with established sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC or Challenger
