Clay is a go-to-market data enrichment and workflow automation platform used by leading tech companies including Anthropic, Notion, Google, and Ramp. The company recently raised a $100M Series C at a $5B valuation and crossed $100M in ARR.
As an Account Executive (Strategic), you will own and close net-new enterprise business end-to-end. Your responsibilities include prospecting into target accounts and building pipeline alongside managing inbound leads, running tailored product evaluations and demos that connect Clay's capabilities to specific workflows and pain points, and leading consultative discovery conversations that help prospects understand the possibilities of Clay.
You will build business cases that win budget and secure internal champions, work cross-functionally with product, engineering, services, and customer teams to shape solutions, and contribute to building Clay's sales playbook, processes, and culture as the company scales. The role emphasizes using AI creatively to improve both your own workflows and those of customers.
You should bring 5+ years in a closing role (AE, senior AE, or sales leader) with a proven track record of carrying and exceeding quota in an enterprise/strategic motion. You must demonstrate the ability to build pipeline, not just manage it, and have experience closing mid-market new-logo deals with multiple stakeholders in a consultative, solutions-oriented selling approach.
Critical to success is high business IQ: the ability to walk into a conversation with a company you've never sold to, quickly understand their GTM motion, and identify where Clay creates value. You should be creative and resourceful, experienced with formal sales methodologies, a strong communicator who can hold a room without dominating it, and excited about contributing to a growing team beyond just hitting your own number.
