Cradle is an AI-driven software platform for protein design and optimization, enabling biologists and R&D teams at biotech, biopharma, agri-tech, food-tech, and academic organizations to discover and optimize proteins faster and at scale. The company is distributed across Amsterdam, Boston, and Zurich, with under 100 employees and multiple years of runway.
As a Global Account Executive, you will lead strategic engagements with major biotech and biopharma organizations, focusing on large global players including top-10 pharma companies. You will own key relationships and drive multi-million-dollar enterprise partnerships across Europe, with responsibility for delivering millions in annually recurring revenue.
Key responsibilities include:
- Driving business development across the global biotech and biopharma landscape, identifying opportunities and closing high-value enterprise deals
- Owning strategic accounts with a focus on large global players
- Partnering cross-functionally with product, ML, engineering, and customer success teams to shape proposals and execute technically complex projects
- Acting as the voice of the market, surfacing customer feedback and strategic insights to inform product direction and roadmap
- Building a personal brand in the biotech and AI-for-science space through events, engagement with scientists and executives, and establishing yourself as a trusted advisor
- Shaping sales processes, playbooks, and materials as the company scales, with freedom to reimagine how enterprise sales operates in a science-driven startup
You will operate with ownership, urgency, and creativity in a fast-growing team with few limits to impact.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Advanced degree in life sciences (structural/molecular biology, bioinformatics, pharmaceutical sciences, biochemical engineering) OR equivalent hands-on experience working with R&D teams in biotech or pharma
- 5+ years in B2B sales (ideally SaaS) with proven track record of consistently exceeding quota (top 5%)
- Confidence navigating highly technical topics and translating them into business value for R&D stakeholders and executives
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments; energized by building from scratch and confident writing the playbook
- Strong listening skills, innate curiosity, and learning with humility
NICE TO HAVES:
- Strong business network across biotech/pharma in DACH region or broader Europe
- Domain knowledge in machine learning or its applications in life sciences
- Prior experience at a B2B growth-stage startup
- Prior experience as bioinformatician or wet lab scientist in industrial or academic setting
