Mistral is a full-stack AI company providing frontier models, developer tools, applications, and compute infrastructure. The company partners with enterprises across finance, manufacturing, defense, healthcare, and public sector to co-create customized AI systems.
As Account Executive Enterprise for Public Sector, you will drive end-to-end deal cycles with Mistral's largest public sector customers. You'll own the entire sales process from strategic outbound prospecting and warm introductions through closing and post-sale success, collaborating closely with implementation specialists, technical teams, and legal.
Key responsibilities include:
- Strategic outreach and conversion of qualified inbound opportunities, identifying upselling and bespoke agreement opportunities
- Hands-on support during Proof of Concept phases, ensuring smooth evaluation and converting successful POCs into long-term contracts
- Developing and executing strategic sales plans; serving as primary external stakeholder contact responsible for deal management and alignment across customer engineering, product, and commercial teams at both operational and C-level
- End-to-end customer negotiation in partnership with legal and implementation teams
- Cultivating and maintaining relationships with C-level executives, innovation heads, and key decision-makers; understanding their challenges and positioning solutions strategically
- Demonstrating deep technical understanding of Mistral's products and articulating value propositions to enterprise clients
- Collaborating with implementation and technical teams throughout pre-sales, deployment, and post-deployment phases
- Gathering customer insights to inform product roadmap and internal team enablement
Required qualifications: 7-10 years enterprise sales experience in public sector, preferably selling complex technical products. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field. Significant experience in AI ecosystem or data/infrastructure. Background at fast-growing deep-tech startups preferred. Strong technical acumen, excellent negotiation and communication skills. Fluent English and French; additional languages (German, Spanish) a plus.
