The SME & Growth Business team is seeking Account Executives to drive expansion in the US SME market, focusing on verticals including ecommerce, SaaS, professional services, and technology-enabled businesses.
In this role, you will own the full sales cycle from prospecting through negotiation, close, and initial customer ramp. You'll develop deep expertise in Airwallex's payments acceptance, cross-border payments, billing, and spend management solutions, translating complex products into clear business value for SME customers. You'll conduct technical and commercial consultations to identify client needs and propose tailored solutions, while coordinating with internal stakeholders (legal, finance, strategy) to support smooth onboarding and strong customer outcomes.
Key responsibilities include driving revenue targets through strategic positioning of the financial technology suite, contributing to sales process refinement and new vertical development, and representing Airwallex at industry events and with technology partners. You'll set standards for excellence through exemplary performance, documentation of best practices, and strong teamwork.
Minimum qualifications: 2+ years of full-cycle B2B tech sales experience with proven success selling to SMBs; track record of exceeding sales targets in technical or solution-based selling; experience selling to ecommerce, SaaS, spend management, finance, or professional services verticals; proven pipeline generation and outbound skills; CRM proficiency (Salesforce); strong analytical and communication skills; bachelor's degree or equivalent.
Preferred: fintech ecosystem exposure (payments, FX, financial infrastructure); understanding of SME/Growth company international expansion challenges; consultative, customer-focused sales approach; strategic thinking for partnership discussions; problem-solving orientation; ability to balance multiple priorities in high-growth environments; track record with new product launches or market expansions.
