Salary: USD 100,000 - 135,000 / annual

Adapt is building a company agent platform that makes every organization instantly AI native. The platform serves as a universal AI harness that works across systems, tools, data, and people within a business, enabling teams to ask, build, analyze, automate, and act across internal operations. The company was founded by repeat founders and operators (Jim Benton, Sean Smith, John Andrew Entwistle) with successful track records scaling technology companies, and has raised $13 million from top-tier investors including Headline, Activant, and Susa Ventures. As an early-stage Account Executive, you will own the full sales cycle for qualified opportunities, turning them into deployed and expanding customers. You will work directly with company leadership and technical partners to build a repeatable sales approach. Your responsibilities include: • Building pipeline through targeted outreach, relationships, referrals, and partnership with Marketing and Business Development Representatives • Leading discovery and demos grounded in each customer's systems, workflows, and goals • Setting pilot success criteria and coordinating with technical partners who lead implementation • Managing security reviews, procurement, negotiation, and close processes, then supporting customer expansion • Maintaining accurate forecasts and translating customer feedback into a stronger sales playbook This is a full-time, in-person role based at Adapt's Presidio office in San Francisco, requiring five days per week on-site. You will have the opportunity to work directly with founders and help shape foundational decisions about product, culture, and the company's future. QUALIFICATIONS: • 5+ years of full-cycle B2B software sales with a demonstrated record of meeting or exceeding quota • Experience selling technical products to engineering, operations, or AI teams and executive buyers • Strong discovery and demo skills, with experience leading pilots and navigating complex buying processes • Ability to self-source pipeline, use AI thoughtfully, and build repeatable practices as an early-stage seller
