OpenAI's Go To Market team is seeking an Account Director for the Digital Natives segment, based in Paris with a hybrid work model (3 days in office per week). You will manage approximately a dozen key accounts, driving opportunities through the entire sales cycle from pipeline generation to closure.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and execute comprehensive account plans for ~12 key accounts
- Lead enterprise prospects from consideration through successful deployment
- Partner with solutions and research engineering teams to build and execute complex customer programs
- Own consumption revenue targets and manage forecasts
- Analyze key account metrics and provide insights to internal and external stakeholders
- Monitor industry landscape (competitors, partners, market trends) to inform product roadmap and corporate strategy
- Collaborate cross-functionally with solutions, marketing, communications, business operations, people operations, finance, product, and engineering
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and culture development for the team
You will work directly with C-level executives and serve as a trusted advisor, helping customers understand how OpenAI's AI models can transform their business and products. This role requires both technical acumen and strategic vision to help customers evolve their industries with AI.
Requirements:
- 5-7+ years selling platform-as-a-service (PaaS) and/or software-as-a-service (SaaS)
- Demonstrated track record achieving revenue targets >$1M per year for 3+ years
- Experience designing and executing complex deal strategies
- Background supporting growth at fast-growing, high-performance companies
- Proven ability to work directly with C-level executives
- Strong communication skills for explaining technical concepts to customers and internal stakeholders
- Experience leading high-visibility customer events (customer advisory boards, conferences, product launches)
- Demonstrated ability to gather, distill, and process complex market intelligence (industry, competitor, customer, prospect data)
