Innovaccer builds AI agents for healthcare that automate administrative work, enabling care teams to focus on patient care. As a Lead Product Designer, you will design interfaces and workflows that make AI autonomy usable, trustworthy, and clear for healthcare organizations.
You will own the product experience end-to-end for one or more product areas, designing for data-dense, high-stakes clinical and operational workflows. You'll identify patterns in requests and turn them into reusable solutions, using the best design medium for each problem—Figma, Claude Code, or similar tools. You'll integrate AI throughout your design process, hand off work to engineering with clarity, and iterate based on feedback.
While this is an individual contributor role, you'll raise the craft bar across the design organization by mentoring 2–3 designers through pairing, coaching, and career conversations. You'll give specific, actionable critique to designers across teams, facilitate design workshops and sprints, and model strong collaboration.
You'll strengthen the design system by contributing new components, patterns, and styles, evolving design principles, and building modular experiences that work across products and use cases. You'll also drive the product forward by advocating for users, conducting generative and evaluative research independently, favoring small testable releases, and shaping the product roadmap and goals.

REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of industry experience designing solutions for web, mobile, and desktop
- Experience leading complex products from ambiguous problems to measurable impact
- Strong instincts, taste, and attention to detail
- Proficiency across design mediums: Figma, paper, Claude Code, or similar
- Systems thinking ability—can zoom out to see both parts and the whole
- Experience working with and contributing to a mature design system
- Demonstrated mentorship of designers through influence rather than authority
- Excellent communication skills; design is good communication
