Innovaccer builds AI agents for healthcare that automate administrative work, enabling care teams to focus on patient care. As a Senior Product Designer, you will design interfaces and workflows that make AI autonomy usable, trustworthy, and clear for healthcare organizations. This is an individual contributor role where you independently own complex design projects, work closely with product and engineering teams, and contribute to the quality of the broader product and design organization.
The Product team at Innovaccer designs AI-native solutions for healthcare providers, payers, and government organizations—agentic workflows that automate complex clinical and operational processes, intelligent systems that replace manual work at scale, and data infrastructure that enables it all. Every product decision is a strategic bet on what AI-native healthcare infrastructure should look like next.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead design end-to-end for products, owning the complete experience from exploration through implementation
- Design data-dense, high-stakes clinical and operational workflows
- Design AI-assisted workflows where users feel in control and understand system behavior
- Choose the right medium to solve problems (Figma, Claude Code, prototyping tools, etc.)
- Integrate AI throughout your design process to enhance productivity and creativity
- Partner with product and engineering teams from exploration through shipping
- Contribute to design craft by extending existing components and patterns deliberately
- Build reusable components, interaction patterns, and documentation
- Create modular experiences that work across products, use cases, and user types
- Partner with design-system and front-end teams to maintain consistency
- Advocate for users through independent generative and evaluative research
- Plan and conduct user research to inform design decisions
- Favor small, testable releases that create learning over large design changes
- Shape the product roadmap and goals through design leadership

Requirements:
- 3+ years of industry experience designing solutions for web, mobile, and desktop
- Experience owning complex products from ambiguous problems to measurable impact
- Strong instincts, taste, and attention to detail
- Proficiency across design mediums: Figma, paper, Claude Code, or similar tools
- Systems thinking ability—can zoom out to see both parts and the whole
- Experience working with and contributing to a mature design system
- Experience mentoring designers through influence rather than authority
- Excellent communication skills; design is good communication
Nice to Have:
- Experience designing complex B2B or enterprise software
- Experience with AI-assisted, agentic, or probabilistic products
- Experience in healthcare or another regulated domain
- Comfort using product analytics to inform design decisions
- Experience building functional prototypes with code or AI-assisted development tools
- Experience shipping products with small, cross-functional teams
- Public writing or speaking about design
