Innovaccer is seeking a Software Development Engineer II to build AI-native finance systems that automate and intelligently orchestrate core financial operations. This is a full-stack engineering role focused on designing and deploying autonomous AI agents that integrate across ERP, CRM, and finance systems to replace manual spreadsheet-driven processes with intelligent, production-grade automation. In this role, you will sit embedded within the finance function to understand real workflows—not theoretical processes—and identify what should never require manual human intervention again. You'll design multi-step, tool-using autonomous agents that pull data from multiple systems, reason over it, and produce decision-ready output. Rather than static reports, you'll build systems that plan, validate their own work, and intelligently flag exceptions for human review. You own the full technical stack: data pipelines, system integrations, orchestration logic, and the AI/LLM layer that coordinates everything. You'll make sharp build-vs-buy decisions, knowing when to write custom code, leverage existing tools, or use LLM APIs. You'll ship fast in production with real users depending on your systems for actual financial decisions—not prototypes. Key responsibilities include understanding finance workflows and pain points, designing autonomous agent architectures, building reliable data integrations, implementing AI-driven decision logic with proper guardrails, and defining what "AI-native finance" means at Innovaccer. You'll work closely with the Head of Strategic Finance and CFO's office with full latitude on implementation approach. You should have hands-on experience building AI agents (not just API wrappers), strong computer science fundamentals and system design skills, comfort with modern AI toolchains (LLM APIs, agentic frameworks, prompt engineering, evaluation), genuine curiosity about business processes, and a bias toward automation. Finance domain knowledge is not required; the ability to quickly learn unfamiliar domains is.
