Phoenix Tailings is a rapidly growing clean mining and metals production startup focused on sustainable and economic critical metals production. The company is building the world's first fully clean mining and metals production operation, producing resources needed for the next generation economy.
You will own the accounting for capital projects and government-funded programs. Key responsibilities include tracking capital expenditures and construction in progress across facility build-outs, managing project cost reporting, and overseeing the capitalization of assets as projects are placed in service.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with project or construction accounting in capital-intensive environments. You should understand what auditors and government sponsors expect from cost documentation and be comfortable working directly with project managers and engineers. This role requires strong attention to detail, knowledge of asset capitalization rules, and the ability to manage complex cost tracking across multiple concurrent projects.
