Vensure Employer Solutions, the largest privately held HR technology and services organization, is seeking a Benefit Implementation Consultant to support new and existing clients in implementing, configuring, and optimizing benefits administration software. You will serve as a trusted consultant throughout the onboarding process, acting as the primary point of contact for clients from project kickoff through go-live and beyond.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading client discovery and requirements-gathering sessions to understand benefit program structures, eligibility rules, enrollment processes, and business objectives
- Managing all phases of benefits implementation projects, guiding clients through configuration decisions, milestones, testing, and deployment
- Configuring and validating benefit plans, employee eligibility rules, carrier connections, and system workflows to ensure accurate and compliant functionality
- Coordinating implementation timelines, deliverables, and communication between clients, internal stakeholders, and third-party vendors
- Conducting comprehensive system testing, quality assurance reviews, and user acceptance testing
- Troubleshooting configuration, data, and system issues during implementation and post-go-live, providing timely resolution and process improvement recommendations
- Reviewing and validating benefit data imports, carrier feeds, enrollment workflows, and reporting outputs
- Delivering client training and knowledge transfer sessions to enable effective system utilization
- Providing consultative guidance on benefits administration, enrollment processes, and system optimization
- Documenting implementation decisions, configurations, testing results, and client-specific requirements
- Monitoring post-implementation performance and client adoption to drive long-term satisfaction
The role requires strong client relationship-building skills, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, proficiency with HRIS and benefits administration systems, and deep knowledge of employee benefits programs (medical, dental, vision, life, disability, COBRA, FSA, HSA, retirement plans). You will work in a sedentary office environment with frequent computer use, occasional walking throughout the office, and high attention to detail. The position demands strong problem-solving, multitasking, and communication skills, including the ability to lead planning sessions, conduct training, and present information effectively to diverse audiences.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Systems, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3–5 years of experience in benefits administration, HRIS, benefits technology, implementation consulting, account management, or related client-facing role
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously while meeting established timelines and deliverables
- Experience working directly with clients to gather requirements, document business processes, and provide consultative solutions
- Experience conducting system testing, troubleshooting issues, and validating data accuracy
- Strong knowledge of employee benefits programs (medical, dental, vision, life, disability, COBRA, FSA, HSA, retirement plans)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
- No required licenses or certifications
