Vensure Employer Solutions, the largest privately held HR technology and services organization, is seeking a Business Consultant for its Tampa, FL office. The company serves over 95,000 businesses and processes over $135B in annual payroll, offering HR/HCM technology, managed services, and global business process outsourcing solutions.
In this role, you will own the entire sales cycle for new business opportunities within your designated territory. Your primary responsibilities include:
• Proactively generating new business opportunities through networking, channel partners, and self-generated leads
• Executing aggressive prospecting strategies to gain access to key decision makers
• Conducting thorough analysis and planning to tailor products and services to client needs
• Negotiating pricing and scope of service with prospective clients
• Completing sales paperwork and finalizing client service agreements
• Maintaining an accurate sales pipeline and forecast in Salesforce
• Achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals
• Scheduling and conducting regular meetings with clients during implementation phases
• Developing lead generation strategies and tracking activities in CRM
• Preparing executive summaries for client presentations
• Staying informed about industry trends, competitor initiatives, and new products/services
• Collecting and analyzing data to provide strategic guidance
• Participating in monthly consulting meetings and providing coaching to team members
• Attending webinars and training to stay current on best practices
• Frequent domestic travel to attend team onsite meetings, client visits, customer events, industry conferences, and training sessions
You will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment requiring strong time management, multitasking, and the ability to balance multiple clients and priorities. The role demands excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present to internal stakeholders and senior leadership. You must demonstrate sound business ethics, maintain confidentiality, and work cross-functionally with other departments.
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent (combination of experience, skills, education, certifications, or job training programs preferred)
• At least two years of sales experience preferred
• Previous experience and proficiency with CRM tools (Salesforce or similar) preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Valid, non-restrictive driver's license (required for regular travel to client sites and company locations)
• Strong negotiation and closing skills
• Ability to drive revenue growth and exceed sales targets
• Understanding of sales methodologies, strategies, and best practices
• Problem-solving skills with focus on scalability and efficiency
• Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and business needs
• Resilience under pressure and strong stress management
• Cultural sensitivity and ability to communicate with diverse backgrounds
