Phoenix Tailings is a rapidly growing clean mining and metals production startup focused on sustainable and economic critical metals extraction. The company is building the world's first fully clean mining and metals production operation, producing resources essential for next-generation energy and technology infrastructure.
As FP&A Manager, you will own the complete financial planning and analysis function for a capital-intensive business deploying significant resources across multiple production sites. Your core responsibilities include:
• Building and maintaining the operating financial model that drives business planning and decision-making
• Running the annual and rolling budget cycles, ensuring alignment across all departments
• Developing cash flow forecasts and capital deployment plans
• Partnering directly with department leaders to support real-time resourcing decisions and trade-off analysis
• Communicating financial insights clearly to non-finance stakeholders
• Managing financial planning in a high-growth, dynamic environment where historical data is limited and plans evolve rapidly
The ideal candidate brings experience building and owning operating models in high-growth companies, particularly those managing significant capital deployment. You should be comfortable with ambiguity, able to forecast businesses with short operating history, and skilled at translating complex financial analysis into actionable insights for operational leaders. Strong communication skills with non-finance audiences are essential.
This is a hands-on role where you'll be a trusted financial partner to the leadership team, directly influencing capital allocation and strategic planning decisions.
