Salary: USD 203,000 - 304,000 / annual
Precision Medicine Group seeks a VP, Strategic Business Partner to drive new revenue opportunities within existing large customer accounts in the life sciences sector. This role reports to the SVP of Strategic Business Development and requires a balance of business acumen and interpersonal skill to build strong client relationships, identify high-value opportunities, and promote Precision AQ capabilities across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute annual strategic business plans to drive new revenue and sales growth of Precision AQ products and services, measured by sales bookings
- Build and maintain relationships with clients at senior executive levels, leveraging these to generate new business opportunities
- Manage client opportunities from prospecting through solution development, SOW finalization, and transition to service line implementation
- Collaborate with Precision service line leads and account management to coordinate relationships and advance cross-selling opportunities
- Promote Precision AQ capabilities through lead generation activities including conferences, trade shows, and webinars
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, competitive landscape, and potential opportunities
- Create client-specific development strategies and tactical plans to achieve annual targets by client, product, and customer segment
- Actively manage the sales cycle including prospecting, stakeholder meetings, proposal development, and pipeline management
- Anticipate client needs and prepare executive summaries and presentations demonstrating Precision AQ solution value
- Negotiate client deliverables and value-based pricing
- Maintain and update client records in Salesforce
- Communicate client needs, feedback, and recommendations with service lines
- Coordinate with Marketing and Sales Operations on strategic marketing and lead generation activities
- Represent engagement resources and innovation by presenting at conferences and trade shows
- Direct competitive assessment by tracking competitors and analyzing competitive threats
- Travel up to 50%
- Inspire a culture based on teamwork, accountability, and intellectual curiosity; serve as a role model for excellence, integrity, and respect
- Matrix manage and partner with extended team members using Situational Leadership techniques
- Provide development mentoring on consultative selling and cross-team matrix client management
Requirements:
Required: BS in business and/or marketing or similar; 20+ years of experience in life sciences company sales and marketing positions or professional services firms selling products and/or consultancy to life science companies; successful track record in driving revenue growth and achieving business results in multi-year continuous roles with proven consistent growth and expansion; expertise in consultative, insight-focused, account-based selling approach; comprehensive understanding of life science customer experience and engagement strategies and tactics; demonstrated broad influence leading cross-functionally in organizations; experience managing and developing teams; proficiency with MS Office applications.
Preferred: MBA/MS in business and/or marketing or similar; Salesforce proficiency.
