inKind is a fintech-enabled consumer platform transforming how diners discover restaurants and earn rewards while helping restaurant operators access growth capital and build customer relationships. The company sits at the intersection of hospitality, fintech, and consumer technology, partnering with thousands of restaurants and serving millions of users who earn 20% cash back on dining. The VP of Marketing will lead inKind's marketing function across growth, brand, lifecycle, acquisition, retention, content, partnerships, and product marketing. This is a critical leadership role for the company's next stage of growth, requiring someone with firsthand hyper-scale experience who understands how marketing strategy, organization, channels, brand, technology, and operating models must evolve as a company moves from high growth to market leadership. Key responsibilities include: **Hyper-Scale Growth Strategy**: Build the marketing strategy to drive inKind through rapid growth, bringing firsthand experience of what changes when a business scales from growth to hyper-growth. Identify growth engines capable of taking the company to the next order of magnitude, build repeatable and scalable acquisition and engagement models, and anticipate the capabilities, talent, systems, and infrastructure Marketing will need before growth creates the requirement. **Growth & Customer Acquisition**: Own the overall strategy for consumer growth, acquisition, activation, engagement, and retention. Build and continuously optimize a diversified acquisition strategy across paid, organic, referral, partnership, local, and emerging channels. Establish clear performance expectations across the marketing funnel and own key growth metrics including CAC, conversion, activation, retention, repeat behavior, frequency, and LTV. **Brand Building**: Transform inKind from a rapidly growing company into a nationally recognized, market-leading consumer brand. Define and evolve brand strategy, positioning, voice, and creative direction. Develop breakthrough campaigns and brand moments capable of expanding inKind beyond its existing audience, ensuring brand investment and growth marketing work together. **Lifecycle, CRM & Retention**: Own lifecycle marketing across the complete customer journey. Develop sophisticated segmentation and personalization strategies based on customer behavior and data. Improve onboarding, activation, engagement, frequency, reactivation, and retention through continuous experimentation. **Optimization & Analytics**: Build a marketing organization where data drives decisions. Establish clear dashboards and KPIs across channels, campaigns, customer segments, brand health, and the overall marketing funnel. Develop a rigorous testing framework and create measurement frameworks to understand both short-term performance marketing and long-term brand impact. **Organization & Leadership**: Build the team, systems, processes, and capabilities required to support hyper-scale. Create stronger integration between Marketing, Product, Data, and commercial teams. The role reports to the CRO and requires deep involvement in both strategy and execution—understanding how channels perform, how consumers behave, where the funnel can improve, and where to place the next bet. This is not a purely strategic role; the VP will remain hands-on while setting vision. Success means having built the marketing organization and brand capable of defining the next stage of inKind's growth, making inKind synonymous with how people discover and experience restaurants, and putting the company firmly on the path to becoming the market-leading consumer brand in its category. **Requirements**: The posting seeks someone with demonstrated experience at hyper-scale—someone who has seen and helped lead rapid scaling firsthand and understands the evolution required across strategy, organization, channels, brand, technology, and operating model. Ideal candidates have built marketing teams, systems, and processes to support scaling, created integration between Marketing, Product, Data, and commercial functions, and have a track record of building nationally recognized consumer brands.
