Kernel provides open-source infrastructure for AI agents to interact with the internet via secure, scalable browser automation. The platform is used by teams at Cash App, Vercel, Framer, Rye, and over 5,000 developers for QA automation, RPA, virtual assistants, and reinforcement learning environments. As a Technical Content Engineer, you will be a builder-first professional who ships code and then creates content around it. You'll develop real applications, agents, and demos using Kernel's platform, then translate that hands-on experience into blog posts, video tutorials, and educational materials that drive developer adoption and community growth.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building sample applications, demos, and AI agents on Kernel, then converting them into tutorials, videos, and blog posts
- Owning content end-to-end: from concept and code through documentation and video production
- Scripting, recording, and editing high-quality video walkthroughs and demo reels
- Engaging with the developer community across GitHub, Slack, Discord, and X to answer questions and showcase community projects
- Collaborating with Engineering, Product, and Marketing teams on content strategy, roadmap planning, and launch coordination
You'll be the public face of Kernel's developer experience, building a community of developers shipping browser-based AI agents and feeding insights back into product development.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Builder-first mindset: excited to ship code and then communicate about it
- Hands-on experience building with AI agents, LLM applications, or agentic tooling
- Strong writing skills with knowledge of what constitutes effective developer content; comfortable using AI tools to enhance productivity
- Proficiency across multiple content formats: writing, video production, code, and live presentations
- Genuine curiosity about the agentic web, browser infrastructure, autonomous workflows, and Kernel's space
NICE TO HAVE:
- Background as a software engineer or hobbyist developer
- Experience with MCP servers, browser automation, or agent infrastructure
- Established following or track record in developer communities (blog, YouTube, X, open source)
