Salary: USD 275,000 - 300,000 / annual
Xero is seeking a VP of HR/People Experience (PX) Partnering to lead strategic HR business partnering and advisory services across the global organization, with a primary focus on North America. You will report to the Executive General Manager of PX Enablement and HR Partnering and serve as both a direct HR business partner to senior executive leadership and a leader of teams providing HR business partnering services.
In this role, you will provide strategic HR business partnering support to executive leadership team (XLT) members and lead business partners supporting those functions and their leadership teams. You will provide leadership and guidance to the Managing Director of North America on regional issues impacting the US and Canada. Working collaboratively with peer VPs of PX/HR Partnering globally, you will evolve and drive strategic business HR partnering objectives, ensuring consistent and impactful people programs aligned with global people strategy.
Key responsibilities include: serving as a trusted advisor on talent management, annual team calibration, organizational design, restructures, and complex employee relations issues; maintaining in-depth knowledge of employment legislation and practices to ensure regulatory compliance; utilizing data to strategically analyze trends and develop solutions and programs; working with talent teams to ensure recruitment priorities are met and drive workforce planning; building positive employee experience that empowers employees and improves business performance; and supporting the Chief People Officer and broader PX function in testing and improving how the organization works.
You will identify skill and development opportunities across your team, ensure they model capabilities in the PX Capability Framework, and foster a culture of psychological safety, collaboration, and open communication. Success is measured by the reputation and credibility of the People function, strong stakeholder relationships, high-quality HR advice delivered timely and accurately, team engagement aligned with PX objectives, and consistent achievement of legislative compliance.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Demonstrated experience in leadership roles covering the broad generalist spectrum of HR within fast-paced, high-performing organizations
- Experience developing people-related strategies and plans to achieve business outcomes
- Success in developing and leading high-performing teams
- Deep understanding of multiple HR disciplines, including remuneration practices, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and relevant employment legislation
- Experience working with and coaching senior executive stakeholders on complex people issues
- Degree, post-graduate qualification, or equivalent work experience
