OpenAI is seeking an experienced Technical Recruiter to join its Recruiting team, which plays a central role in identifying and hiring exceptional talent aligned with the company's mission to build safe artificial general intelligence (AGI) for humanity.
In this role, you will independently manage stakeholder expectations for top-of-funnel talent initiatives and partner closely with executives and hiring managers to understand current and future hiring needs. You'll design and execute strategic sourcing plans to map talent and drive top-of-funnel activity across engineering, AI, and technical domains. You will own the candidate experience from first engagement through the loop interview stage, delivering exceptional service and fast turnaround times.
Key responsibilities include:
- Acting as a thought partner to hiring teams, offering talent market insights, funnel data, and best practices
- Sourcing technical talent through creative outreach, events, and passive campaigns
- Building and maintaining nurturing campaigns and brand-forward recruitment marketing efforts
- Managing stakeholder expectations and driving key hires across the organization
You'll work collaboratively with technical recruiters, coordinators, sourcers, and cross-functional partners to support OpenAI's growth during a critical phase of building highly capable intelligent computer systems.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of progressive recruiting experience in high-growth, premier tech environments
- Proven success hiring in niche and competitive technical talent markets
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trust with senior stakeholders
- Clear, compelling written and verbal communication skills
- Comfort navigating ambiguity and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
