Xero is seeking a VP of Growth Content to lead the next chapter of its global growth content function. This role oversees a global team spanning design, creative optimization, and content automation, tasked with transforming data-driven insights into a high-velocity, compounding content engine powered by AI. Key Responsibilities: You will design and build the end-to-end content operating model for an AI-native future, delivering systems from briefs through creation, review, distribution, reuse, and performance optimization. You'll build an AI-native operating model that improves speed, quality, and scalability—automating the atomization of flagship content across channels, funnels, and audiences to expand impact. You'll simplify decision-making and review flows to accelerate output while raising quality standards, and create repeatable processes to turn strategic inputs (claims, positioning, customer insights, proprietary data, product truth, channel learnings) into effective content outputs. You will raise the bar on business impact and measurement by building a measurement approach that connects content performance to real business outcomes, not just engagement metrics. You'll partner with analytics, product, performance marketing, regional marketing, and customer teams to understand what content drives impact, using data to shape investment decisions and channel mix. You'll create visibility for senior leaders on what's working and where to change course. You will improve content quality and channel fit by raising standards for great content and processes, improving how message, format, and depth match audience need and channel context. You'll partner closely with Product Marketing, Communications, Performance Marketing, SEO, regional teams, and Sales Enablement. You will lead a global content organization spanning multiple disciplines, markets, and seniority levels, coaching and developing talent while raising capability and performance. You'll build a team culture that values clarity, quality, learning, strong judgment, and accountability for outcomes. You will operate effectively in a complex global matrix, building strong partnerships across global, regional, and functional teams to scale impact through influence. You'll balance global consistency with regional relevance and help cross-functional teams make better content decisions. Success looks like: a materially redesigned content operating model for an AI-native future; on-brand content aligned with brand principles; an effective continuous test-and-learn system; rigorous content performance measurement linked to business outcomes; a visibly higher quality bar with clearer standards; and a stronger team with sharper talent and better structure. Requirements: - Deep leadership experience in SaaS, fintech, or complex B2B/B2B2C subscription ecosystems - Proven track record of redesigning operating models, not just optimizing existing workflows - Demonstrated success using AI to rethink content systems, workflows, governance, and production economics at scale - Strong partnership experience with Product Marketing, Communications, Performance Marketing, SEO, and Sales Enablement - Strong evidence of driving measurable business impact through content across multiple funnel stages and customer lifecycle - Experience working in large global matrices, with ability to influence across teams and functions without formal authority alone - Ability to move between strategy and execution, including comfort with operational details when needed - Experience leading and upgrading teams through change, including talent assessment, coaching, organizational design, and raising standards - High comfort with ambiguity, complexity, and building structure where it does not yet exist Nice to Have: - Experience serving small business and partner audiences (accountants, bookkeepers, channel ecosystems) - Experience building growth content systems using proprietary data, customer insight, and research as differentiated inputs - Strong judgment on channel strategy, editorial and design quality, audience needs, and content effectiveness
