Evvy is a precision women's health company leveraging the vaginal microbiome to improve outcomes across a woman's lifespan. Backed by $60M+ in funding, Evvy serves over 100,000 patients and 3,000 providers nationwide with a validated Vaginal Microbiome Test and AI-powered personalized care platform. The company has built the world's largest dataset on the vaginal microbiome, positioning it to drive breakthroughs in infertility, preterm birth, gynecological cancers, and related conditions.
As VP Finance, you will own Finance and People at Evvy as the company scales into its next growth phase. This is a broad, senior operating role reporting directly to the CEO and sitting on the leadership team.
Strategic Finance: Lead revenue forecasting and company-wide budgeting including hiring plans and resource allocation. Build and maintain pricing and business-case models for new products, provider relationships, and partnerships. Own capital strategy planning and investor financial reporting, serving as a key point of contact for existing and prospective investors.
Accounting & Controllership: Oversee the Controller and accounting function, including month-end close, GAAP compliance, and tax to achieve audit-ready status. Lead implementation and adoption of an ERP and inventory management system as Evvy scales.
Financial & Operational Infrastructure: Own the systems roadmap for finance and operations. Oversee bill pay, cash management, sales tax, insurance renewals, and vendor relationships. Bring in-house capabilities (HRIS/payroll) at appropriate inflection points as headcount and complexity grow.
People Function: Oversee the People Ops Manager and Evvy's People operations—recruiting infrastructure, onboarding, HR inquiries, benefits, compliance, and office management. Partner with the CEO on performance management, leveling, and calibration processes.
Leadership Partnership: Partner closely with the CEO on board meeting preparation, investor relations, and recurring finance and people workstreams. Represent finance and people in company-wide planning cycles, KPI reviews, and All Hands meetings. Provide judgment in ambiguous, cross-functional situations.
Evvy is a primarily in-person team based in New York with a strong collaboration culture. The role operates on a 4-day in-office schedule (Wednesdays remote).
REQUIREMENTS:
- Head-of or VP-level experience leading a Finance function at a startup, ideally with direct oversight of both strategic finance/FP&A and accounting
- Mix of formal finance training (investment banking, corporate finance, or similar) and hands-on operating experience at a fast-growing startup
- Track record of building financial infrastructure and processes from the ground up—systems implementations, audit-readiness, or scaling a finance team
- Experience managing investor relationships
- Comfort owning People/HR alongside finance, even without formal HR background
- Builder mentality: equally comfortable setting strategy and executing operationally
- Clear, credible communicator who can operate at board level and in operational details
- Thrives with high ownership and high ambiguity; brings structure to undefined problems
- Energized by owning a wide swath of the business (finance, accounting, people) rather than a single narrow lane
Helpful but not required: Prior experience through company exit (acquisition or IPO), experience with payor coverage/reimbursement/revenue cycle management (RCM), venture capital experience with exposure to consumer or digital health.
