As Finance Transformation Manager, you will lead end-to-end finance transformation, systems change, and operational improvement across Modulr's Finance function. You will report to the Director of Financial Control and support the CFO and wider Finance leadership.
Key responsibilities include:
• Lead finance transformation initiatives across Financial Control, FP&A, Finance Operations, Payroll, Billing, and Treasury, identifying opportunities to simplify, standardize, automate, and strengthen processes.
• Own NetSuite and finance systems change as the finance-side owner, scoping, prioritizing, testing, and coordinating enhancements; manage requirements for approvals, cost centers, entities, country packs, billing logic, reporting, and integration; coordinate UAT, release planning, and finance sign-off.
• Govern the finance project portfolio by maintaining a structured view of initiatives, priorities, owners, dependencies, and status; create and maintain RAID logs, action trackers, and decision logs.
• Deliver projects end-to-end using a structured, control-led framework from discovery through post-implementation review; lead solution design workshops and translate finance requirements into clear specifications.
• Support new entity, jurisdiction, and regulatory change by leading finance readiness for expansion, liaising with external advisers (KPMG, Deloitte), and ensuring controlled handover to business-as-usual.
• Manage vendors, advisers, and third parties, coordinating requests, challenging unclear scope or delays, and maintaining commercial awareness around licenses and renewals.
• Embed controls, auditability, and risk management into finance change from design stage; identify operational, financial, regulatory, and data risks; support audit evidence gathering.
• Lead stakeholders and build capability across Finance, Product, Technology, People, Legal, Risk, and Compliance; communicate complex issues concisely to senior leaders; provide coaching and training to finance colleagues.
Requirements:
Essential:
• Confident using AI tools to draft documentation, analyze information, map processes, and improve productivity
• Proven experience delivering finance change, transformation, and systems projects end-to-end, ideally involving an ERP such as NetSuite, from discovery through post-implementation
• Strong project management discipline across scope, planning, RAID governance, UAT, handover, and benefits realization
• Solid finance process knowledge across Record-to-Report (R2R), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), and Order-to-Cash (O2C) with strong controls, audit, and documentation mindset
• Excellent stakeholder management—able to translate finance needs for technical, operational, and vendor teams and communicate concisely to senior leaders
Desirable:
• Experience with new entity or multi-jurisdiction setup and working with external advisers (e.g., KPMG, Deloitte, tax and payroll providers)
• Experience in a regulated financial services or fintech environment
