SafelyYou is an AI-driven company on a mission to empower safer, more person-centered care across senior living. Founded in 2015 from doctoral research at UC Berkeley's AI Research Lab, the company combines world-leading AI, industry-changing hardware, and remote expert clinicians to improve outcomes for residents while reducing costs for communities. SafelyYou has been recognized as one of the five most innovative fall technologies in the Senate Falls Report (2019), a McKnight's Tech Partner of the Year winner, and named to Fortune's Impact 20 list.
As Vice President of Product, you will lead the product management team and own the entire portfolio strategy. You will drive product execution across a portfolio that combines hardware, AI/ML, and cloud software. Your core responsibilities include owning customer NOI impact, building wellness AI and staffing intelligence as scaled product lines, and doubling the rate of committed features launched to customers within the next year.
You will own one unified customer-facing roadmap tied to company objectives, allocate investment across customer-facing teams and shared platforms (AI, data and integrations, devices, hardware), and make stage-gate calls on evidence. Working closely with the Chief Product and Technology Officer and VP of Engineering, you will establish and run the operating model, including annual strategy, quarterly planning, and published decision rights. You will drive partner adoption to ensure SafelyYou insights reach caregivers within existing EHR and eCall systems, establish clear accuracy and false-alarm standards with privacy by design, and represent product at industry events and with investors.
You will coach, level, and hire product managers, building a bench of future leaders. This is a leadership role with a seat at the executive table as the company scales its impact across senior living communities.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Hard requirement: Led product managers through an operating-model change (e.g., functional teams to outcome and platform teams) on products combining hardware, AI/ML, and cloud software
- 10+ years in product, including 5+ years leading PMs across multiple product areas
- Shipped AI/ML, hardware, and platform or partner-ecosystem products to market, including stage-gated development, certification, and field reliability
- Enterprise B2B credibility with direct product P&L ownership
- Decisive player-coach and clear writer who earns engineering's respect
- Strongly preferred: healthcare or senior living experience, and experience with regulated products (HIPAA, life-safety)
