Armada is a hyperscaler for edge AI infrastructure, backed by nearly $500M in funding from Founders Fund, Lux, BlackRock, and Microsoft (M12), with strategic partnerships including Microsoft, Dell, Palantir, NVIDIA, SpaceX, and Skydio. The company is named one of Fast Company's Most Innovative Companies and to the CNBC Disruptor 50, with solutions deployed across 60+ countries.
You will serve as Vice President of People & Talent, owning the complete people infrastructure for a globally distributed organization scaling rapidly. This is end-to-end ownership spanning talent acquisition, total rewards, people operations, and compliance, with particular depth required in global mobility, entity and employer-of-record management, and compensation design.
Approximately two-thirds of the role focuses on the operating stack: global recruiting strategy across technical and non-technical functions; structured hiring processes that raise talent density; compensation philosophy and band architecture mapped to company levels; equity strategy at the pre-IPO stage (new hire grants, refresh programs, 409A cadence); annual compensation and merit cycles with geographic differentials; global benefits program design and renewals; people operations systems and compliance infrastructure; and entity management across owned subsidiaries and EOR markets, with hands-on Middle East experience (UAE, KSA, Bahrain labor landscapes).
The remaining third focuses on employee experience and culture: workspace and physical environment strategy, onboarding programs, and building learning and development programming from the ground up.
This is not an execution-only seat. The executive team expects the People function to carry a strategic point of view on how talent decisions drive the business and to bring that perspective into leadership conversations proactively. You will define strategy and own execution. You are building, not inheriting—programs, policies, systems, and team headcount are yours to stand up.
You will partner closely with Finance on headcount planning, workforce modeling, and geographic expansion alignment with budget forecasting. You will prepare executive compensation recommendations and materials for the CEO, Board compensation committee, and Finance. You will personally run critical searches when needed and hold hiring managers accountable to structured processes.
**Requirements:**
- Proven experience building and scaling global people functions at high-growth, venture-backed, or pre-IPO companies
- Deep expertise in global mobility, entity setup, and employer-of-record arrangements across multiple geographies
- Demonstrated mastery of compensation design, equity strategy (including 409A valuations and refresh programs), and benefits program management
- Experience managing compliance and people operations infrastructure across owned entities and EOR markets
- Hands-on Middle East experience: employer-of-record arrangements versus local entity setup, and managing employees across UAE, KSA, and Bahrain labor and compliance landscapes
- Strategic business acumen and ability to influence executive leadership on talent-driven business decisions
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments and build programs from the ground up
