Salary: USD 183,249 - 230,000 / annual
Imagine Learning is seeking a Vice President of Platform Product Management to lead the technical foundation powering its K–12 digital curriculum solutions. This role owns the platform layer—shared services, APIs, data infrastructure, identity, and integrations—that enable product teams across ELA, math, science, social studies, and courseware to build on a scalable foundation.
You will translate fragmented product needs into a coherent, scalable platform strategy that accelerates delivery, reduces duplication, and creates technical advantage. This is a builder role for a leader experienced in shipping complex technical systems at scale and working AI-natively. You'll partner closely with Engineering, Design, and product leaders who serve as internal customers, making hard tradeoffs between shared infrastructure and product-specific speed.
Key responsibilities include: owning platform product strategy and multi-year roadmap aligned to portfolio needs and business priorities; defining and managing API, data, identity, and integration surfaces with real SLAs; leading a team of platform-focused product managers; partnering with Engineering on architecture and build-vs-buy decisions; platformizing shared AI capabilities so product teams can build curriculum-grounded features efficiently; establishing platform metrics (adoption, reliability, velocity, cost efficiency); managing cross-product dependencies; and enforcing data governance, privacy, and security (FERPA, COPPA) at the platform layer.
You'll use AI to improve your own product practice—from discovery to decision-making—and set the standard for AI-native product leadership. You'll represent platform strategy to executive leadership, communicating roadmap, risk, and progress clearly.
The role reports to the SVP of Product, Design, and AI Initiatives. Imagine Learning is a remote-friendly company with offices in Tempe, AZ (HQ), Austin, TX, Petaluma, CA, Rock Rapids, IA, and Bloomington, MN. Expect approximately 30% travel.
