Abacus Insights is a healthcare data platform backed by $100M in funding, transforming how health plans use data to improve outcomes and reduce costs. The company helps payers break down data silos and create a unified, trusted data foundation that powers better decisions for care and cost management. This Product Manager role focuses on Interoperability—a critical and high-stakes portfolio where regulation, clinical/claims data, and payer operations converge. You will own a substantial portion of the interoperability product suite, including Patient Access APIs, Provider Access capabilities, Payer-to-Payer data exchange, electronic prior authorization, consent and member attribution, FHIR data layers, and supporting portals and reporting tools. The role also covers emerging requirements like drug electronic prior authorization and evolving HL7/USCDI standards. You will work alongside an existing Interoperability product lead with genuine senior scope—not executing someone else's roadmap, but setting direction, interpreting complex CMS mandates and HL7 standards, shaping requirements, and driving decisions to closure. Within months, you become the go-to expert for your portfolio areas across Engineering, Delivery, and Client Success. Within a year, you own roadmap strategy for those areas. Day-to-day responsibilities include: owning interoperability capabilities end-to-end across defined product areas; translating CMS regulations and FHIR implementation guides into actionable product direction; distinguishing mandated requirements from client preferences; collaborating with Engineering and Delivery on technical feasibility and timelines; gathering and prioritizing client feedback; and documenting regulatory reasoning so decisions remain defensible. You'll work in a collaborative environment that values judgment, curiosity, and thoughtful use of AI and automation while keeping human insight and client needs central.
