VAST Data is seeking a Customer Success Engineer specialized in cloud deployments to join the Flight Crew supporting enterprise customers. You will be a technical expert responsible for deploying, configuring, and maintaining VAST's AI OS across public and private cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.), working closely with Support Engineers and Success Managers to ensure maximum customer adoption and success.
Key responsibilities include:
• Deploy and maintain cloud services and infrastructure components in customer environments, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Build deep technical relationships with customers through hands-on expertise, troubleshooting, and a customer-first approach.
• Contribute to cloud automation and orchestration using Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible) and scripting languages (Python, Shell).
• Interact regularly with cloud provider native monitoring, logging, and observability tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Stackdriver) alongside tools like Grafana and Prometheus.
• Perform systematic troubleshooting of complex cloud instances, networks, and infrastructure issues; parse logs to identify root causes that extend beyond the VAST platform itself.
• Conduct thorough root cause analysis (RCA) and post-incident reviews for infrastructure-level incidents to drive continuous improvement.
• Work with customers to integrate VAST On Cloud with on-premises systems, designing and supporting hybrid and multi-cloud architectures.
• Partner cross-functionally with engineering, product management, pre-sales, and professional services to escalate bugs, advocate for customer priorities, and improve product features.
You will be regarded as a VAST technical expert, combining deep cloud-native knowledge with client-facing excellence to help enterprise customers successfully deploy and optimize VAST's data platform for AI workloads.
