Salary: USD 110,000 - 130,000 / annual
iCapital is hiring a Client Delivery Assistant Vice President to lead the Annuities Platform team's client delivery operations. This role combines operational, portfolio, and people leadership across a Carrier/Distributor client portfolio.
You will be accountable for the successful and on-time delivery of SaaS implementations, enhancements, and ongoing client initiatives. Key responsibilities include project governance, portfolio financial performance, resource management, client escalations, and transitions to ongoing support. You will lead Project Coordinators, Business Analysts, Configuration Analysts, and other delivery resources, serving as a critical connection point among Client Success, Solutions Engineering, Product, Engineering, Operations, Finance, Sales, and Support.
Specific responsibilities:
- Lead a portfolio of Carrier/Distributor client implementations, enhancements, and strategic initiatives, ensuring successful delivery, client satisfaction, and business outcomes
- Serve as the primary delivery leader for assigned clients, building trusted relationships and aligning delivery efforts with client goals
- Provide oversight of project governance, timelines, scope, milestones, risks, dependencies, resource allocation, quality, and delivery performance
- Lead teams of Project Coordinators, Business Analysts, Configuration Analysts, and other delivery resources
- Manage portfolio capacity planning and resource utilization to ensure appropriate staffing aligned to business priorities
- Drive project and portfolio health by proactively managing risks, issues, escalations, dependencies, change requests, and stakeholder communications
- Own portfolio financial performance, including forecasting, revenue, margin management, billing accuracy, and operational efficiency
- Ensure accurate project reporting, portfolio visibility, and adherence to project management standards, tools, and delivery processes
- Serve as a senior escalation point for complex client and cross-functional delivery issues
- Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Operations, Finance, Sales, Support, and Client Success teams
- Promote continuous improvement through enhanced governance, reporting, change management, implementation practices, and operational processes
The role is based in the greater Des Moines, IA area with a hybrid schedule: Monday–Thursday in office, with flexibility to work remotely on Friday.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 7+ years of project management or delivery leadership experience implementing Software/SaaS solutions in financial services or insurance
- Demonstrated experience managing a client portfolio, portfolio financial performance, and multiple teams concurrently
- Experience managing the performance of Project Coordinators/Managers, Business Analysts, and cross-functional delivery teams
- Proven success leading SaaS projects and programs on time, within scope, and within budget
- Experience leading, motivating, and managing teams of varying sizes, including internal and external resources
- Financial services/financial software applications experience required
- Insurance experience in Life, Annuity, Property & Casualty applications strongly preferred
- Excellent leadership, written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, team building, and change leadership capabilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively while adapting to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Experience with JIRA required; Cantata experience a plus
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
