Salary: USD 125,000 - 175,000 / annual
Adyen is a global financial technology platform providing payments, data, and financial products for enterprise customers including Meta, Uber, H&M, and Microsoft.
You will lead a customer-facing technical support team that serves as the primary point of contact for Adyen's merchants worldwide. The team operates on a 24/7 follow-the-sun model across multiple time zones and is responsible for resolving complex technical and operational questions related to the Adyen platform, APIs, and integration best practices.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and mentoring a technical support team, developing team members' capabilities and career growth
- Serving as an escalation point for complex technical support requests
- Collaborating across international leadership teams to standardize best practices and ensure global alignment as the company scales
- Defining and communicating team objectives and key results (OKRs)
- Tracking team progress, maintaining accountability, and reporting results to senior leadership
- Working cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, Product, Account Management, and Sales to deliver high-quality merchant support
- Making informed decisions and prioritizing requests from both internal and external stakeholders
You will be part of an international, diverse team operating in a merchant-focused, highly motivated environment. The role requires occasional domestic and international travel.
Requirements:
- 2-6 years of direct experience managing technical support teams
- Proven people leadership and mentoring capabilities
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle ambiguity
- Technical background or strong technical affinity (payments/fintech experience not required but enthusiasm for the space is important)
- Ability to serve as an escalation point for varied technical issues
- Strong communication and empathetic interpersonal skills
- Ability to establish processes and procedures
- Work authorization in the United States without need for new visa sponsorship (company can support visa transfers but will not sponsor H-1B CAP applications)
- Willingness to travel occasionally, domestically and internationally
