Xendit is a Southeast Asian payment infrastructure company processing millions of transactions monthly for SMEs and enterprises. The company provides APIs, eCommerce integrations, and applications for payments, marketplace operations, payroll, loans, KYC, and fraud prevention.
This UX Researcher role owns the research strategy across the merchant lifecycle and developer experience domains. You will report to the Product Design & UX Director for Customer Lifecycle and partner with product managers and designers across three clusters to inform prioritization with evidence-based insights.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning the research roadmap across the domain's three clusters, prioritized against decisions that most need evidence
- Conducting mixed-methods research: interviews, usability testing, surveys, and behavioral/funnel analysis in partnership with the Data team
- Translating findings into actionable product decisions that PMs and designers can implement
- Building and maintaining a lightweight insight repository that democratizes good-enough research while protecting rigor on high-stakes questions
- Setting research cadence and deciding where methodological depth matters most versus where lightweight approaches suffice
- Influencing product direction through evidence rather than authority
You will work in an environment that values validated findings over assumptions and direct, candid critique. Much of your impact comes through influence and partnership rather than mandate.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated mixed-methods UX research experience with fluency across qualitative and quantitative approaches
- Proven ability to translate research findings into product decisions and influence without formal authority
- Balance of rigor and pragmatism, knowing where depth matters and where speed is sufficient
- Strong plus: fintech/regulated industry research experience, developer-audience research background, quantitative fluency, or ResearchOps/repository-building experience
